We believe that everyone is uniquely different. Most approaches focus on managing symptoms or following standard psychiatric medication protocols. Our work focuses on first identifying potential root causes and creating a treatment plan based on you or your child’s unique biology—so you’re not guessing or repeating what hasn’t worked, or playing a “wait and see” game. We can uncover many hidden reasons for your symptoms (examples: gastrointestinal dysbiosis, hormone, nutrient or vitamin deficiency, chemical exposure), we bring these into the light for exploration and further treatment if needed to alleviate symptoms.

Absolutely No!- this is not a replacement, we are an addition to your care team. The work we will do together is designed to complement your relationship with all of your existing medical care providers. We help you understand underlying factors that may not be fully addressed in traditional settings. We offer you another completely different option.

In-network providers are constricted and must offer only what insurance will reimburse, primarily only psychotherapy and medication management based on certain time increments. We provide those services, but also with many extras to fully support you toward being your best self. We also allow you much more time so visits are not rushed. We can provide you with a superbill if you would like to negotiate reimbursement with your own insurance carrier.

Insurance typically only covers standard laboratory testing, (which we can and do order), however, they do not typically reimburse for comprehensive and specialty root-cause analysis testing. These certified functional labs are designed to provide deeper insights that often change the direction of care. They uncover answers that years of conventional treatment have most likely missed because other providers have not ordered them under the existing insurance constraints., so it is no fault of their own, but the provider’s awareness of the value of these laboratory studies is not always present. We believe in offering comprehensive access to care without insurance limitations.

Yes. This approach can complement and refine your current treatment, sometimes improving effectiveness or may possibly reduce the need for higher medication doses. We leave that decision to you and your originating prescriber.

Each person’s needs are very different and are evaluated on a case by case basis depending on severity. I, however, do not prescribe any controlled medications on a first visit. We need time to first fully understand all of the issues, and assure we are prioritizing the most prominent first. The decision on a specific treatment plan may highly depend on return of specific laboratory studies that help us focus appropriately.

Every person is very different, some are super sensitive, but many clients experience greater clarity and insight to the obstacles affecting their health. Once a tailored treatment plan is enlisted, many experience better sleep, more energy, better concentration, less troublesome behaviors with more targeted treatment, and meaningful symptom relief once root causes are addressed and treatment protocols are actively followed. It takes time to heal as most symptoms have taken years to manifest, so we coach you to be kind to yourself, build up your reserves and give your mind and body the time it needs to heal. Sometimes, as the body is detoxifying toxins there may be something called a herxheimer reaction, or a “healing reaction”. We work with you to minimize these “flu-like or fatigue” symptoms and assure you are properly eliminating these toxins from your body and so you don’t recirculate free toxins, we want them bound up. The emotional healing process is not always linear either nor a straight arrow up to health. We want you to know, there may be ups and downs, this is a normal process, but we want to educate you on how to avoid or minimize any reactions so you can move past them. This work takes time, and patience to heal. We are here to support you through the entire process.
We do ask that you work with us for at least six to nine months at a bare minimum, so we can actually help you make significant progress. Hopefully, you will be thrilled and want to continue in a maintenance program. This is not a pill for an ill and takes time to identify underlying issues, prioritize them and treat them appropriately. We offer a highly customized and comprehensive treatment plan tailored specifically for you and your unique biology and physiology. We don’t guess, we investigate.

The earlier you understand what’s happening beneath the surface, the more options you have. Many families wish they had started sooner—especially after being told to “wait and see.” or trying options that did not work, or worse told there is nothing available.
